NNSW Adventist Education
NNSW schools seek to be a part of, not apart from, the communities in which we live.
Our Mission
Our mission is to develop minds and connect hearts. Learning as community.
Our Vision
Our vision is to connect communities to Christ; one heart at a time.
Our Desire
Our values show who we are. Authenticity, spirituality, quality and unity in all things as a company and as individuals, is what drives us.
News & Updates
Horizon.
If you pause and truly ask yourself what opportunity lies before you today, if you are honest with yourself, you will know. God will impress upon you what opportunity stands awaiting your choice.
Logo.
What are you wearing? Check yourself in the mirror today. See if the character you’re wearing is fit for purpose, that you have the right character on, and not just one chosen for the pretty colours.
Ride.
As we head towards the end of the term, what memories, experiences, events, lessons and learnings do you need to hold on to? What needs a refresh, a rekindle and recharge?
Listen.
Do we really listen to others? Here is my challenge to you, as much as it is to me.
Listen in order to know. Listen in order to grow. And, listen in order to show.
Change.
We have been created to grow, to change and to adapt. We are made in the image of a limitless God who desires us to be the best version of ourselves, through Him.
Team.
I encourage you to plan team meetings from a relational, connectivity and presence perspective. As the saying goes: ‘wherever you are, BE there’. Literally.
Impossible.
When you see a plane in the sky, it reminds you it is up there because of an impossible idea, made possible through shared vision, unity and effort – in a team.
Grateful
Observations – and lessons – about gratitude. It is an emotional muscle worth strengthening. A challenge for you and I to exercise it today.
Pressure
If the pressure is on, hope counteracts implosion. Hope counteracts pressure; has no limit; no depths it cannot reach; no pressure it can not resist; no timeframe it is curtailed by. Hope does not fail.
Memorial.
Remembering is so important. Some relevant reminders after reflecting on a cenotaph in an Australian country town. What do you need to remember?
Fog.
There is never a better approach than a courteous conversation to add clarity, resolve confusion or find common ground. Foggy days? Find clarity and blue skies.
Response.
If the basis of our faith worldview is Christ; how can we not respond with love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Balance
Take a moment to pause and do a ‘balance assessment’ on your life. If you get a sense that something is unbalanced, it is time for you to do something about it.
Walk.
Life lessons learned from walking in and around a new city! Take the time to walk with purpose; with intent; and walk so that you can speak life into others.
Relentless Pursuit.
Why not embark on a new journey today? Discover new views, new experiences, new representations of God. Look beyond habit and find a relentless pursuit of God.
Now
Often we speak of waiting on the Lord… that is good but we perhaps can then not see we are also meant to access all that He has blessed us with NOW, today.
Remember
When we remember how Christ connected, how Christ BRIDGED the gap, and made God real, personal and accessible to all; how can we not strive to do the same.
Good
Every good to great; no matter the context, is a choice. Start with Good. Go for Great.
Identity (Pt 2)
Take a moment to look beyond what you do, and remind yourself of who you are. What you do is important BUT who you are while doing it is most important thing.
Baggage.
Whatever weighs you down, set it down at the foot of the cross. Leave the baggage. Enjoy the lighter journey.
Identity (Pt 1)
Take time to notice the caps people wear. The branding, words and allegiances portrayed. Consider yours too and think about what type of cap you put on each day.
Stickers.
Some life lessons learned from the application of stickers! When you next see a sticker, let it remind you about the details of life. Live out the details.
Co.
Some examples of how opportunities are better together. Let’s consider how we can add collaboration, cooperation, conversation and co-creation into our mission.
Belt.
As ambassadors for heaven we should be encouraging and building others up, and it should be as natural as putting on our seat belt as we hop in our car.
Perspectives
Do we operate on assumptions or perspectives? It is never a wasted effort to take the time to gain a perspective rather than jump on an assumption.
Legacy (Pt 3)
Legacy: a final thought.
Let 2023 be your year of adding to that legacy – in your workplace; your families; your personal life and faith journey.
Legacy (Pt 2)
Legacy is not written on monuments, logos and signs: it’s written in hearts. Legacy is in relationships. Real relationships. What will your legacy be in ’23?
Legacy
We are called to leave a legacy, a mark, and that’s what this year’s corporate theme for NNSW education is all about. LEGACY: what we leave behind.
Be.
A personal reflection on the past year. Did we live with purpose, authenticity and in genuine love – with Christ as our role model? What can we change for 2023?
Hope.
A day; a flight; an experience… a reminder about the importance of hope. Hope for a better future. Hope for a fresh start. Hope for a new tomorrow.
Adventist Schools
Our schools welcome students from all faiths and cultural backgrounds. While students are not required to attend church, students and their families are most welcome to worship with their local Adventist church at any time. Students have the option of joining a Bible study group that is run by the school.
